How do you skip a period on the mini pill?

Hi there – I’ve just started a mini pill because of high blood pressure and I’ve never used it before. How do you skip a period on it?
Thank you for the information but all the tablets are white and don’t seem to be differientiated in any way.

I’m on the mini pill. Unfortunately, you can’t skip a period while you’re on it because it’s a progesterone only pill. It does not cease ovulation (and therefore menstruation), it only thickens your cervical discharge so sperm can not penetrate it. That’s why it is so important to take at the same time every day. Stinks, I know :p

skip the 7 coloured pills and go to the next one.(usually pink or white ones)
